Comic-Con Crazy

Comic-Con Crazy

If your kid lights up at the word ‘superhero’ then you’ll be pleased to know that the popular American convention Comic-Con is fast approaching. Held in San Diego from 17-21st July, the yearly event is renowned for attracting a crowd of people dressed to the fancy dress nines: think comic book favourites and plenty of geekery. Here at Littlewoods, we’ve got a great selection of children’s toys that scream Comic-Con so, despite being on the other side of the pond, your little ones can get involved with all the fun.

You can’t go wrong with figurines – not only are they fun to play with but they make for great bedroom decoration too. We’ve got ones like the Spiderman Web Shooting Spiderman and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Michelangelo Action Figure, which are both wonderfully interactive yet decorative at the same time.

If they want to pretend they’re in attendance and dress up as their favourite superhero or comic book character then we’ve got an amazing selection in that respect too. Masks are the best way to truly replicate a look so the Marvel Iron Man Arc Fx Mission Mask is a great option. Missile projectiles can even be fired from either side of the mask by pressing the button at either temple – cool, no? Other toy weaponry favourites include the Nerf Avengers Hawkeye Bow and The Hobbit Battle Axe.

We’d like to think if we were at Comic-Con this year that we’d represent the UK, so how about our Doctor Who Dalek Drone Ride-in? This thing is just too cool. Kids can sit inside the Dalek and drive it around using the front viewing window to see where they’re going, and it even features 10 authentic Dalek phrases including ‘Exterminate!’ If a toy’s going to impress (or scare) your child’s mates then this is it.

Is your kid a true comic book fan? We’ll assume their room is decked out to the max with all sorts of superhero paraphernalia but – just in case it’s missing something – we highly recommend the Marvel Heroes Comic Book Duvet Cover Set – Single.
