Transitional Dressing For The New Season

Transitional Dressing For The New Season

While the idea of milder temperatures seems a lifetime away, pretty soon spring will be on the horizon. It’s a blissful thought. Right now your winter wardrobe may be feeling tired, worn and in much need of a revamp because – after all – January isn’t even over yet. Try dressing up what you already have with pieces that’ll work for winter, spring and beyond.

Transitional Dressing For The New Season

Let’s start with the essentials. Here at Littlewoods, we’re all ooh-ing and ahh-ing over one of our newest coats: the South Peplum Military Coat. This khaki design hits two trends on the head with its military theme and peplum detailing. Paired with plenty of knitwear, this coat is perfect for chilly weather but ideal in spring too. There’s also our lovely Fur Scarf which is currently in the sale. It adds an element of luxury to your wrapped-up-warm look and makes for the perfect show-off accessory when temperatures get warmer. You can’t go wrong with a new cardie either. The South New Duffle Cardigan is great layered in winter but is an even better coat substitute for spring.

Now let’s concentrate on the legs. Firstly, no one can deny that a pair of leggings aren’t a year-round lifesaver so how about opting for a new jazzy pair like the South Coloured Leggings – they come in either animal print or floral print. Thick tights also come in that same can’t-live-without-them category. How about the Jonathan Aston Haze Tights? They’re a sale find too and come in navy or storm grey. A wise buy – and altogether fun purchase – would be ankle socks. They work as a great addition to tights to really lock the heat in but they, of course, look wonderful in spring rolled down with bare legs or cropped boyfriend jeans as well. The Fearne Cotton Studded Ankle Socks (3 pack) are our favourite pairs by far.

Finish your legs off with a killer pair of ankle boots – we think the Love Label Dempster Suede Flat Boots – Mustard are heavenly – and you’ll have revamped your wardrobe a right treat. And the best thing about a truly good pair of ankle boots? You’ll wear them and love them for all seasons.
