Littlewoods are proudly supporting this year’s Clothes Throw to raise money for the UK’s busiest children’s hospital, Alder Hey. Lots of celebrities including Coleen Rooney, Fearne Cotton, Graham Norton, Alex Jones, Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and Paloma Faith, to name a few, have all donated personal items to be auctioned off, while top fashion designers including Vivienne Westwood, Alex Monroe and Mulberry have also taken part by donating desirable fashion and jewellery pieces to the Charity. All of these sought after items will be either auctioned off during a star studded event on the 15th November or will be available to bid for on eBay, which means we can all get involved!
We went along to the VIP Launch Event this week held in Boodles, Bond Street, London. Celebrities including Sheree Murphy, Made in Chelsea’s Rosie Fortescue and The Apprentice’s Tom Gearing arrived to show their support for this amazing campaign which runs throughout November. Guests were treated to champagne and canapés as they viewed just a taster of the donated items on display in this gorgeous setting.
We’ve had plenty of donations in the run up to the launch event to kick it off with a bang, including this fab outfit made up of a scarf signed by Joanna Lumley, a dress from Fearne Cottom and a bag donated by Mulberry.
The lovely Garham Norton donated a beautiful suit which he sent with a personalised, signed letter to add that extra fiishing touch. Nice!
Tucked neatly in to the pocket of Graham’s suit, is a pair of sunglasses from the House of Harlow range, donated by the brand founder herself, Hollywood starlet, Nicole Richie.
And of course it wouldn’t be a fashion event (even a charity one) without some stunning arm candy, and this little beauty from Vivienne Westwood is sure to be a favourite with the bidders.
Remember there are lots of way you can get involved and support this years’ Clothes Throw to support Alder Hey, by making a simple text donation, donating online, throwing your own Clothes Throw party or placing an eBay bid on one of the selected celebrity or designer donated pieces. See which coveted items are available and waiting for your bid at eBay, and find out more on the Clothes Throw website about how you can get involved in the event!
