Get Jessica Alba’s look with Dr Martens!

They’ve been the boots of choice for punks, skinheads, mods and models across the years, but lately Dr Martens have even been worn by celebrities like Jessica Alba. Recently snapped out and about in a pair of deep, burgundy red Dr Martens, we loved Jessica’s combination of soft and hard elements, and how she’s made these stomping boots perfect for everyday autumn wear. Here are two looks we’ve come up with to help you steal Jessica’s style.

Inspired by...Jessica Alba

Make sure you let your boots do the talking (and walking) by choosing a pair of Dr Martens in a bright colour: this pair of Dr Martens 8 Eyelet Leather Boots in Purple Patent is perfect for this season’s berry trend. Keep the focus on your boots, just like Jessica, by keeping the rest of your outfit neutral. The Hilfiger Denim Sophie Skinny Jeans in classic blue denim are a must-have autumn item, as they look great with boots or high heels for a night out. Layer the South Long Sleeve Slim Fit Crew Neck Top in soft grey with the South Denim Waistcoat, then start to pile on your accessories. Jessica wore a Proenza Schouler bag, but you can save instead of splurge with the Slouchy Plaited Handle Bag in neutral grey. Just like Jessica, inject another flash of colour with layered scarves: we’ve chosen our simple Wrap in Black and this Animal Print Scarf to echo the berry shades of the Doc Martens.

Our second look is a lot more glamorous, but still edgy (just like Dr Marten would like it!). Start with the Dr Martens Biker Chukka Leather Boots in black patent leather: this classic biker boot shape is versatile, while the slick finish is ultra-modern. Pair with embellished skinny jeans, like the Voi Jeans Skinny Jeans with Studs and Rips and opt for layers of grungy black and sparkling sequins. The South Embellished Sequin T-shirt in silver contrasts beautifully with the Myleene Klass Foil Print Cardigan, then top it off with one of our favourite classics-with-a-twist – the Fearne Cotton Lace Trim Blazer. Echo the sophisticated  black and metallic colour scheme in your accessories, with an elegant handbag like the Modalu Horizon V-frame Leather Tote, and the funky FCUK Hexagon Collar.

Whatever way you choose to wear Dr Martens boots, at Littlewoods we’ve got a great selection for both men and women, from classic black to patterned pairs. More flattering than wellies for winter, and cool enough to wear on a casual night out, it seems like Jessica Alba might just be leading the fash pack with her footwear choices this autumn!

Which is your favourite Dr Martens look – dressed down or punky glamour?

I love the dressed down Dr Martens for walking, especially when slippery. They are perfect for icy pavements!
