ThunderCats are back!

ThunderCats are back!

Who remembers ThunderCats? The retro cartoon favourite that followed the adventures of cat / human-like aliens, including Lion-O, Cheetara and Panthro (are the names ringing any bells?)

Well whether you remember them from the original 1980s cartoon or not, you’re bound to become familiar with them soon as the series has recently been updated and re-released on British TV, and ThunderCats have now been named as one of this year’s Christmas ‘must-have’ toys in the form of action figures and vehicles.

The figures include characters from the newly updated series, along with some of the classic characters from the original 80s show, including Lion-O and Tygra. And with celebrity followers (Jonathan Ross and Chris Moyles, to name a couple) and a huge fan base getting all nostalgic, we can see these figures being snapped up well in advance of Christmas.

Key figures in the range include original characters Cheetara and Panthro, as well as the ThunderCats’ most powerful vehicle, the Thunder Tank, which comes complete with a 10cm Snarf figure. The Thunder Tank also has light and sound features that can be activated using the Thunder Lynx Technology in the 10cm action figures. It might be retro, but it’s right up to date with the technology too!

The predicted top sellers include the classic collectable characters and the Sword of Omens, Lion-O’s legendary weapon, and the toys available from range from £10 to £42.

So whether it’s a stocking filler or a special present to a die-hard fan, pick up your ThunderCats figure now while you still can!
