A few weeks ago we posted about the upcoming menswear range called Farrell, the debut collection from none other than Britain’s favourite super star Robbie Williams. Back then we’d only seen snippets of what the collection had to offer and we couldn’t wait to see more, and now the wait is over because the range has now launched online at Littlewoods.com!
And we’re pleased to say that after all that hype, it certainly hasn’t let us down! From checked shirts and chunky knits, to bib shirts and dinner jackets, it’s a full collection with a consistent style running throughout, and when you find a style you love there’s nothing better than being able to pick and choose your favourites or to deck your entire wardrobe out in it.
We love the laid back looks, such as the denim or vintage check shirt worn with the classic jeans, or the cream shawl collar aran knit jumper which looks cosy but is so stylish and perfect for Winter. But our favourite items just have to be the coats. The Ball Melton Military Coat in particular is a look we just love, it’s obvious just from looking at it that this coat is practical and stylish, thanks to the heavyweight fabric and signature Farrell lining (you’ll see this lining everywhere in the collection) combined with the military styling, button details and houndstooth trim. It’s pictured here being worn with blue jeans and we think it’s a real investment coat which will last for years and will never go out of style – as promised, it’s all very Robbie and all very British.
The Farrell ‘Hughes’ duffle coat and Farrell ‘Banks’ wool coat are others worth noting, both classic styles and high quality material, you can’t really go wrong with a well-made wool coat, as Robbie clearly knows!
And our final top picks from this varied collection have to be the bib front shirt and Farrell ‘Wright’ Herringbone Dinner Jacket, both giving a nod to Robbie’s love of sharp tailoring and classic details. The bib front shirt has a detachable collar giving you the ‘grandad style’ option, but we think this shirt worn with the sleek fine knit dinner jacket and matching slim trousers could be our favourite take on the suit we’ve seen for years!
So if you want fuss-free, top quality styles that will remain firm favourites in your wardrobe for years to come, we’d definitely recommend a good look at the Farrell collection, as it ticks all of those boxes plus much, much more…
