We really don’t know whether we’re coming or going with this weather, especially where our wardrobe is concerned. It’s August, so our minds are telling us we should be wearing something bright and summery, but our bodies are screaming at us to put on a nice cosy hoodie and just accept that summer may be over (we stress the ‘may’ as we’re secretly keeping optimistic for an Indian summer!)
So the new range from Henley’s has come at the perfect time really, as it includes some fab hoodies and t-shirts with bright pops of colour, exactly what we need to keep our casual wear upbeat on these dull days.
Our particular favourite for our off-duty days is the double hood hoodie – we love the light grey and pink colour palette and the double hood is a quirky feature that makes it just a little different from other Henley hoodies (and we’re guessing will do an extra good job of keeping our hair dry in the rain!)
Or bring a touch of sunshine in to your wardrobe with this yellow cross neck hoodie. It’s a real statement piece thanks to the bold shade and graphic logo down the sleeve, and looks fab with dark denim jeans and Converse for a real laid back look.
If you love the yellow but aren’t ready for a hoodie just yet, the Conie Polo is probably more up your street. We love the denim pocket with the embroidered Henleys logo, and the drawstring collar which is unusual but perfectly in-keeping with Henley’s signature style.
Our final favourite from this range is this the oh-so-stylish stripe t-shirt. It’s unmistakably Henleys thanks to the familiar logo printed across the front (with a cute bit of diamonte detailing as an added extra), but the blue and white stripes with the flash of red give a nod to the nautical trend which, lets face it, is never out of fashion – there’s always a take on the Summer nautical theme and we think this top gets it just right for Autumn.
So Autumn casual wear doesn’t have to mean drab colours and styles that are only suitable for days on the couch – go for something fresh and bright from Henleys and you’re on your way to making that awkward transition to your Autumn wardrobe, where you can stay warm and dry while still holding on to a little bit of summer!
