This week it’s National Coffee Week (from the 4th until the 10th April) so it’s a chance for coffee lovers to give something back to the communities who provide us with those tasty little beans that help get us through those early mornings and make us feel human again!
There are so many coffee lovers in the UK and it is in fact the most popular drink in the world with 400 billion cups drunk every year. As you can imagine this can get a little bit pricey, so if you can’t afford your morning cup of coffee to come in a handy takeaway cup from your local coffee shop, then it might be worth considering getting your caffeine fix at home.
Here are some of our favourite coffee machines to tantalise those taste buds and help save your pennies, without sacrificing great tasting coffee.
Wake up to the smell of coffee with this handy Breville Wake-Up Tea and Coffee Maker – perfect for those with partners who love tea, and you can set the machine to automatically make your first cup of the day! There’s also a back up battery, so even if there’s a powercut you won’t go without.
For those of you filter coffee lovers out there, where one cup just isn’t going to be enough, check out a traditional filter coffee machine like this one from Morphy Richards. With 12 cups of coffee ready in just 10 minutes you can be sure that you’ll get a caffeine fix whenever you need one. It’s also programmable so you can set it to make the coffee before you’ve even rolled out of bed.
If you’re a creamy, foamy cappuccino lover then fret not – you don’t have to go to a coffee shop to get your
favourite type of coffee, you can make it at home with a cappuccino maker! We love this blue, retro style DeLonghi Icona which would be a great addition to any coffee lover’s kitchen. Add a professional flourish with a milk frother for foamy, creamy coffee heaven. It also makes espresso for those days where you need an extra caffeine kick!
Got some delightful coffee beans which smell delicious but no way of grinding them to put into your machine? Solve your coffee dilemma with a dedicated coffee grinder, which will do all the hard work for you.
There are lots of different options, so no matter what you preferred cup of coffee is, there’s a machine to give you what you need – in the comfort of your own kitchen. Check out our full selection of coffee makers here at Littlewoods today.
Yes, if you’re buying a cup of coffee this week at any of the participating venues (including Starbucks, Costa Coffee and Esquires) don’t forget to give a donation – 100% of which will go directly to Project Waterfall, who deliver clean water to coffee producing communities in Africa.
