Drama Queens at Littlewoods

Drama Queens at Littlewoods

If we had to choose one word to describe the latest collection of party dresses from Littlewoods, that word would be ‘dramatic’. Not only because of the striking colours and bold designs, but because the range is appropriately modelled by three well known actresses, hence the collection name ‘Drama Queens’. You can see our Drama Queens on the shoot for the collection here:

Whether it’s a LBD, something pretty and embellished, or a bold colour blocked number, these are the ultimate glam party dresses for those occasions when you really want to make a statement.

And you don’t get much more dramatic than this all-over sequin dress worn by Ali Bastian in the video, our Drama Queen best known for starring in Hollyoaks and The Bill. Bright colours, bold design and full sequin coverage – this is one glitzy number that can’t fail to make an impact.  Ali also wears this gorgeous black and white print dress, where a wide black waist band ties in a bow at the back, and the draped skirt is a contrast to the fitted and structured top, making it a perfect day to night number.

Emmerdale’s Roxanne Pallett shows off a softer side to the range, with a summery white one shoulder dress – very pretty and perfect for the warmer weather we’re all hoping for this Spring.  Roxanne also models a stand out piece from the collection, which can be seen in the video – a striking pink strapless dress with a fitted bodice and contrasting ruffled skirt and corsage detail. It’s fair to say that it’s a show stopper that will ensure you stand out in a crowd.

The huge trend last year for maxi dresses is set to be even bigger in 2011, and Nikki Sanderson is right on track with this ruffled green maxi, showing off a super glam take on the popular style. A dress collection isn’t complete without a classic LBD, and Nikki looks fab in this black lace dress, a simple body con shape but with a twisted feature at the back to add a bit of an edge.

So with a range of styles, colours and shapes available you’re bound to find that perfect statement party dress – now just pick your favourite and channel your inner Drama Queen!
