Who Wants Kitchen Gadgets for Quick and Easy Football Food?

If your household is anything like mine, civilised family meals round the table may go out of the window during World Cup season. So I’ve been thinking up ways of dishing up filling food that’s easy to eat and still has some of their five-a-day.

Toasties are a great for snacks on your family sized sofa. You can use wholemeal bread or fibre, and if you go for one that makes deep filled toasted sandwiches like this Breville Sandwich Maker at Littlewoods you can pile in lots of juicy tomatoes, or put pineapple in with the ham for a tasty but healthy option.

Pizzas are a big favourite in our house, and you don’t need to keep them for when Italy’s playing. Kids will love lending a hand to make their own. How about creating a St George’s flag pizza, with lashings of lovely mozzarella and red pepper strips for the cross? And for a bit more England support, how about this musical England pizza cutter and bottle opener?

Of course, whatever drink you choose to wash it down with will taste better from an England Pint Glass. And if you decide that making their own pizzas is way too messy for ease, make sure you grab an England bin to ensure those pizza boxes don’t end up in a heap on the floor!

What food will you be serving during the footie? We’d love to hear your ideas for World Cup themed food – post a comment!
