Make your feet beautiful with this season’s shoe trends

Sometimes shoes can be a last minute thought but take inspiration from the upcoming release of Sex and the City 2 and it’s shoe loving fashionistas Carrie Bradshaw. Shoes can make or break an outfit but luckily this summer there are lots of different trends to choose from.

Wedges are making a comeback

I love wedges, frankly they are more comfortable and versatile than my normal heels so wedges are perfect for daywear and can be dressed up for an evening look. For something summery and colourful try these Rocket Dog floral wedges with a cute tie-back detail or for something in a more neutral colour these metallic gold wedges are perfect for either day or night.

Stock up on flats

It is a truth universally acknowledged that you just cannot go wrong with a pair of flats. They are easily the most versatile style of shoe and there’s now a massive variety out there so in this instance it’s a case of whatever takes your fancy. For a bit of colour I love these leopard and zebra print ballerina style pumps or for something a little more traditional these studded black pair will do nicely.

Modern mules and clever clogs

Mules and clogs have been dominating catwalk shows this season but you don’t need to pay a fortune to get your hands on a pair and not only are these backless shoes, with a platform, pretty but they’re also pretty practical too and like wedges, far more comfortable that normal heels. For instant glamour try these patent red mule clogs which also come in black if you’re not a fan of the red. I also really like these brown studded Skechers mules which are perfect for going straight from the office to a night out.
