The iconic Timberland brand has been an American classic for decades. Originally designed as a rugged outdoor boot, this sturdy but stylish classic was an instant hit thanks to its waterproof properties and comfortable moulded footbed.
Now, the legendary 6” lace-up boot – one of the company’s original designs – remains the perfect shoe for winter weather. But it’s enjoying a major Fashion Moment as well.
With a reputation for quality craftsmanship and waterproof protection, the “It Girls” of festival season have embraced Timberlands as the new must-have boot: it’s the perfect combination of glamour and grunge! How better to survive the Glasto mud (and still look adorable) than with a short, sturdy, hard-wearing ankle boot, paired with denim shorts or a mini, topped with a boho blouse to complete the look!
But you don’t have to wait for
festival season to jump on the Timbs trend! UK super model and Victoria’s Secret Angel Lily Donaldson was snapped wearing the classic 6” lace-up boot whilst out and about in London over Christmas. Needless to say, she was really rocking the look and making it her own, pairing the boot with a silky black, super-short playsuit that showed her pins to perfection, and topping it off with an embellished jacket, red nails and tousled locks. The very height of downtown chic!
For those of us who aren’t off-duty supermodels, there’s a variety of styles and colours to choose from in the Timberland range, which is versatile enough to truly offer something for everyone. The iconic 6” boot is always a great choice – available in the original tan colour, as well as black, white, and a gorgeous dove grey – how fab would those look with biker jeans and a metallic top?
We love Timberland’s newest designs too. They retain all the comfort and practicality that put the brand on the map – but as it happens they are incredibly cute too! We’re a bit in love, it must be said, with the Kenniston Nellie Ankle Boot in light pink or wheat, featuring the white, semi-wedge sole that will be absolutely everywhere this Spring. They’re new in, and already moving fast – so we’re not the only ones feeling the Timberland love.
