My favourite Christmas present was my two chinchilla buddy and Elvis. They bought so much fun and joy into our lives. They have both sadly passed away this year so it’s our first Christmas without them.

It was an Atari and I had to share it with my brother. My parents made us wait until after Christmas so they could get it cheaper I seem to remember, perhaps the only year I have wished Christmas Day away!

I got a watch from my brother when I was around 20 with a card that said “believe in yourself an anything is possible”. It’s the only think I ever remember him giving me.

When I was 9 my parents brought me a tv but my dad took the plug off and wrapped the plug and the remote control separate and then made me a treasure hunt and I had to hunt for the tv around the house!

When I was 8 I got a bright yellow barbie caravan for Christmas. It was what I so desperately wanted and, even at that age, I was aware that father Christmas tried his best but couldn’t always afford to buy expensive presents (we didn’t have much money). I was so happy, so pleased and I didn’t stop playing with it for months. It really was the best present I’ve ever received

The best Christmas gift I ever received was a peddle powered go-kart. I remember wanting one for what felt like forever as all the other kids on the street had one. So, when I woke to get it on Christmas morning it was like the greatest thing ever and I felt like the coolest and luckiest kid in the world I was about 6 at the time (1990). A few years later it was gifted to another young driver from a hard-working family who also got great joy from its awesomeness!

The best Christmas present I ever received was Coco Channel. This was the best gift because the lovely fragrance gained my boyfriends attention. He was so impressed by it that he bought me another bottle when it was finished. I only have to spray it once and he absolutely loves it.

Christmas presents when you were a child always seem more exciting, and my favourite present was a Teeny Weeny Tiny Tears Doll.

When I was 10, I got a bike and I never forget it as next day I broke my leg on it.

A bike was a fav present giving me a bit of independence at a young age

The present I will never forget was handmade by my Father. It was a farmyard which included a farm house, stables, a barn and other outbuildings. The detail was incredible and must have taken many hours to make. It was a favourite toy for many years. It was eventually passed on to a cousin for her children. I often wonder what became of the farmyard. It was simply the best present I ever received.

My favourite Christmas present was given to me when I was about 8 years old – it was a microphone. I used to plug it into my parents’ sound system and record myself on cassettes. It was hearing my voice on tape that encouraged me to get into performing, and decades later there’s nothing I enjoy more than performing my poetry at open mic sessions and singing.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time!
It’s the VOTED Number 1 Game of of all time for good reason!!!
I’ve LOVED the series since I was just a little kid and getting this game on Christmas was truly the best thing ever. I have nothing but the most overwhelmingly incredible memories of things that were happening over that Christmas as I was playing the game. Remember events in the game bring back those memories so vividly.
A very powerful present for me that I will never, ever forget.

A pair of Bowers & Wilkins speakers 20 years ago, they were for passing my A-Levels and getting into uni. I still have them 20 years later and passed them down to my son 🙂 they also got me into my hobby music!

My favourite ever Christmas present was a furby back in 1998. I remember my dad taking me to Woolworths to pick which one I wanted… I went for a white one, which didn’t stay white for long! I’d love to win this competition as I don’t even own a tablet and as much as I love using my phone/laptop, sometimes wish I had something in between that I could just whip out and use.
