Fresh ideas for the bedroom

Fresh ideas for the bedroom

Following on from our new living room Home Edit (if you’ve not read it yet, you can check it out here), now we’ll take a look at some of the latest design concepts for the bedroom.

If it’s been a while since you gave any thought to updating the look of your bedroom, maybe it’s time for a fresh look. Often, bedroom décor falls last on the list, after the lounge, the kitchen, and other ‘public’ areas. But really, we think it’s every bit as important. More than just a place to sleep, your bedroom is your escape from the world, a place to unwind, rest, and recharge – so why not create a look that will help you do just that?

Home Edit Bedroom Offbeat

The first trend we’re featuring this season is one we’re calling Offbeat – it’s bright, cheerful, eclectic, and energising. Imagine waking up each morning to see the world in vibrant colour, setting the mood for an invogorating day. Get creative by combining hues, patterns, and geometrical shapes to make the look a perfect reflection of your own fun-loving peronality! For example, you might start with a multi-colour duvet set, such as this one featuring turquoise and yellow triangles, then pick up on the palette with bright wire storage baskets and a gorgeous blue bedside lamp. Don’t be afraid to mix-and-match – it’s what gives this trend such great energy!

Home Edit Bedroom Artisan

Our second Home Edit look for Autumn is the Artisan trend. Like the Offbeat theme, this one is all about mixing things up. But the emphasis here is on a variety of textures, warm wood tones, and hints of earth red and forest greens – it’s a rustic, organic, back-to-nature feel to create your own personal haven away from daily life! The Artisan duvet set, taking its inspiration from handcrafted wood cuts, is the perfect foundation to start from. Consider creating a feature wall, with this exquisite botanical print wallpaper from Arthouse, and adding a textured throw like this chunky cable knit beauty – or for true indulgence, this lush faux-fur version from Ted Baker.
