London Fashion Week has left us feeling very inspired indeed at Littlewoods HQ. Though autumn/winter 2014-15 fashion feels a million miles away, there’s no harm in getting a head-start on any to-die-for upcoming trends, especially as many of the themes were colours, textures and prints… if you get them now, you’ll be more than prepared for later this year.
We adored the penchant for powder blue on the catwalk, as seen at Ashish and Holly Fulton. Why not get the look with our Glamorous Powder Blue Cami? This style of top is so of-the-moment, and it can be adapted all year round too – wear it as it is during the warmer months, but layer it with a statement cardigan or jacket in the cooler seasons.
Many of our dresses are already adhering to key looks for AW14-15 too. Opt for the Love Label Scribble Print Embroidered Shirt Dress, which is reminiscent of the bold prints at Peter Pilotto, Burberry Prorsum, House of Holland and Matthew Williamson to name a few. On the topic of Burberry, our Glamorous Leaf Print Monochrome Swing Dress is an ideal way to imitate the bold leaf motifs seen sashaying down the runway. Our Definitions Sheer Kimono Sleeve Dress is wonderful for you if you’d like to recreate the sheer fabrics from Marios Schwab’s latest offering too.
Other key trends to impress us include shimmering gold which was observed at Erdem (our Ted Baker Cinders Glitter Court Shoes would hit the nail on the head for that trend) and ribbed knitwear à la Mark Fast – get involved with this practical yet pretty style with our Definitions Ribbed Tunic. Tartan was huge once more – just look to Vivienne Westwood Red Label – and our South Tartan Print Leggings are a great way to get involved with the look.
Finally, faux fur was a frontrunner this season. Feel inspired by the likes of Paul Smith, Matthew Williamson and Topshop Unique with our gorgeous Love Label Fur Ombre Coat, which screams high fashion.
