Let’s Get Baking

Let’s Get Baking

You’ve still got a couple of weeks left before the kids are back to school and we bet your ideas are running a little dry at this point. How about a spot of baking? Here at Littlewoods HQ, there’s nothing we love more than making scrumptious cakes and biscuits for everyone and, quite frankly, kids absolutely love it too. We’ve got a selection of items to make the process all the more fun too: think personalised aprons and easy-to-use cookware.

Baking with kids

Our Ready Steady Cook 13-piece Silicone Bakeware Set is an utter godsend. Not only will you love this set, but so will your children. You won’t have to bang a cake tin repeatedly to loosen its delicious contents; simply squeeze the cake moulds a little and your treats will be good to eat. They’re even suitable for traditional ovens up to 230°C, as well as being microwave, dishwasher and freezer safe. Other fabulous baking buys include the Victoria Sponge Baking Kit and the Triple Chocolate Scone Baking Kit. These tins were created by Suzy Pelta, winner of ITV1’s Lorraine Cake Club Competition in 2012. They include the key ingredients needed to create the yummy recipes, along with a step-by-step recipe card.

To get little ones truly excited about baking – if licking the bowl isn’t quite persuasion enough – treat them to a personalised apron. We’ve got the Personalised Childrens Apron (perfect for young girls) and the Personalised Childrens Striped Apron, more suited to boys. They’ll be grinning because their name is on it, and you’ll be smiling because their clothes will remain spick-and-span.

If you’re after easy yet fun recipes, then we’ve got just the things. Our Disney Princess Magical Recipes Cookbook (Hardback) and Disney Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Mickeys Party Cookbook (Hardback) come chock full of scrummy ideas. They’ve both got easy-to-follow recipes, wipe-clean pages so you can try the recipes again and again, space to grade progress, opportunities to make up your own recipes, as well as lovely stories to guide you through the book for a break between baking!
