WIN over £500 worth of power tools!

WIN over £500 worth of power tools!

We all love the outdoors at this time of year (weather permitting of course) and right now, we’re encouraging everyone to makeover their garden with us to give you lovely new, spruced up outdoor space that you and family will enjoy making the most of when the sun comes out.

Maybe a good old clean of the patio will really make a difference, in which case Karcher has everything you need to bring out the best with 35 times more power compared to a standard garden hose, and only using half the amount of water – amazing!

A freshly cut lawn is a must when it comes to garden makeovers, and if you have a large space or a real challenge on your hands, McCulloch are the brand to look for with their petrol mowers, strimmers and vacs for getting rid of those fallen leaves.

Or maybe it will take a mow of the lawn and a spot of DIY to really make a difference and create a whole new space – and for this we’d recommend you look no further than DIY favourite, Black & Decker who have everything from strimmers to cordless drills. Think of the changes you could make if you had the right tools to do it!

Of course once the hard labour’s done (it’s not too hard, don’t let us put you off) it’s time to relax on your new garden furniture, enjoying a BBQ and admiring all of your handy work. Bliss!

And to get the ball rolling, our friends at Karcher, Black & Decker and McCulloch have given us a bundle of power tools worth over £500! So whether you want to start, renew or add to your tool kit, just read the important info below then leave us a comment telling us what your dream house and garden makeover would include?

Would there be a freshly cut lawn and the family surrounding a chimenea, or maybe a new fence to give you that privacy you’ve always wanted is all you really want! Whatever it is, let us know and you could win this fab power tool prize!

We really like growing our own vegetables, so more garden tools, pots and compost are more important than a bit of grass!

I’d really like to get some garden furniture and some garden toys for my 1 year old. I’d also like to put a little fence around the grass so it’s safe for him to play. At the moment I don’t let him play out there as I am too scared he will fall on the concrete

  23. Posted by Patricia toner on June 5, 2013

My dream house and garden would have to be replacing the kitchen for starters and moving it into the back room so I could knock a few walls down and make the living room bigger. As for the garden well where to start at the moment it is just a forest of green so I would love to have a area with seating and nice flowers maybe a water feature. While I am dreaming about it I might as well have a hot tub and some luxury sun loungers 🙂

  24. Posted by Susanna Callaghan on June 5, 2013

My house is already lovely; my garden needs a strim for the wilder bits, the lawn needs cut and the patio needs cleaned. Then new patio furniture and a barbecue set and I’ll have all I need to enjoy the Summer sunshine with friends and family! 🙂

Wow where do I start, a garden that would be safe for my children to play in would be lovely. Currently the garden in unusable. The house well that is nicknamed ‘The Money Pit’ the kitchen would be a good place as it is falling apart.
This equipment would help improve our home and garden so much it would be unrecognisable.

  28. Posted by Thomas L on June 5, 2013

It would have to have a very big feeling of peace. I’m picturing fresh mown lawn, large Bonzai Trees on either side of the garden. The sound of running water on a feature and the relaxing tones of a wind chime. Possibly a round conversation pitt build into the ground.

MY PERFECT GARDEN WOULD INCLUDE LOTS OF COLOURFUL, SCENTED FLOWERS TO ATTRACT THE BEES, A COUPLE OF NICE, QUIET, DARK AREAS FOR THE HEDGEHOGS TO HIDE OUT.

I’D LIKE AN AREA TO GROW SOME FRUIT AND VEGGIES – TO SUPPLEMENT MY DIET AND MY BUDGET! I’D LOVE A SMALL POND OR WATER FEATURE – I’D ADORE BEING ABLE TO KEEP SMALL FISH AND PERHAPS TERRAPINS IN A NICE, COOL, MINI-HABITAT.

I’D LIKE A NICE PATH AROUND THE GARDEN THAT WOULD LEAD ME TO THE VARIOUS AREAS OF INTEREST AND FUN. I WOULD DEFINITLEY WANT A RAISED BED – ONE I CAN GET TO IN MY WHEELCHAIR TO BE ABLE TO GROW MY SMALL SALAD AND HERBS AND A NICE LITTLE (ACCESSIBLE) GREENHOUSE TO CULTIVATE TOMATO, CHILLI, PEPPERS AND AUBERGINE.

I’D LOVE TO ENCOURAGE MORE WILDLIFE INTO THE GARDEN TO ENJOY SO SOME GOOD LOW LEVEL LIGHTING WOULD BE FAB SO I CAN SIT OUT IN THE EVENINGS AND WATCH THEM WITHOUT SCARING THEM AWAY.

THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO RUN FREE WITH MY GARDEN IDEAS – PERHAPS BIG IDEAS, BUT IT WOULD MAKE ME HAPPY!

my daughter has just moved and would love a Chinese garden feature

  36. Posted by Louise on June 5, 2013

I moved in a few months ago and the garden was a complete mess – full of overgrown ivy and weeds – mostly from the neighbours’ mess!

My ideal back garden would have clean decking and an area at the back to grow flowering plants/shrubs that would bloom at different times of the year, so there would always be a wealth of colour. A small garden bench to sit and soak in the sun would be lovely too.

My front garden needs a huge tidy up – the crazy paving needs to be weed free, as does the grassy areas. The bushes need cutting back and again some colourful flower or plants are needed.

    HELP!
