Its time to let my ancient IBM thinkpad go, it struggles with everyday tasks, the mousepad doesn’t work and the screen is ruining my eyesight. I need the ASUS Taichi. Pick me.

  26. Posted by Wes Mcintosh on June 8, 2013

My current laptop is far too slow and ancient, winning this would be just perfect!

  27. Posted by MissMelvis on June 8, 2013

My laptop no longer works without being plugged in, it cuts out immediately upon being disconnected from the socket. The wires are showing on the power lead. It freezes approximately every 2 minutes and crashes about 4 times a day. It’s old and sad and ready for retirement but I can’t afford a replacement so will keep my fingers firmly crossed, even it does make typing a little tricky! xx

Whats convinced me its time to let annie(the laptop) go well i think shes getting a little tired shes over worked miserable and deciding to play up.
when using annie i have to keep my charger plugged in all the time otherwise she turns off i cant store to many photos as she goes into mental overdrive.
I cant be doing my daily things on the laptop because she decides to scold my legs with the heat :(
Im thinking thats some real good reasons but theres many more ;)

The battery no longer work – so the power cable is needed all the time – not very portable. It is slow and the graphics card is not up to scratch anymore.

My current PC is the one used in Back to the Future (part 1) – cica 1985.

Its even got all the 80′s gear – decorated with Pink legwarmers, a high top haircut (as per Kid & Play from the classic 80′d film ‘House Party’) and the only sound it makes is the theme tune from ‘Air Wolf’

    HELP !!!!

  49. Posted by Lucy Mumford on June 11, 2013

I’ve had my desk top computer for six years now and despite the number of temp files removed, cookies cleaned and defragging I do, sometimes it takes half a hour to warm up to a reasonable speed. My desktop is not in the same room as my TV, so I have no chance of “playing along on my computer” with many of our popular games shows, which is frustrating. I’m getting hassle from my teenager about about our dinosaur/desktop, so I definitely think an ultrabook would keep him of my case!

this is sooo fast and light – and helps me do my bit for the environment
