Oh gosh…i’ve had my laptop for over 4 years now! I would love to start anew with this lovely bit of tech. I have been looking around for at least 3 months for something new. With today’s market, technology is evolving so drastically, I would like something that will keep up with the change for some time to come- so practically every feature on the Taichi is a desire for me!

What the Taichi has (and in general the latest tech out there) that has convinced me and makes me want to say g’bye to my laptop-

Windows 8 (i’m still on homely home vista!)
Dedicated graphics (I can’t even play basic games on my one, never mind HD games!)
Convertible, small (The wowwowwow factor indeed!!!)
Lightweight (I think my laptop weighs in at a small baby elephant?)
Core i7 processor (Pentium Dual Core is sooo last last last year…)
SSD (I don’t know if this model has it, but I love the solid state generation- no more moving bits!)
Super fast and responsive – (in terms of my laptop ‘computor says slooow’- alot :|).

So there it is. I would really love this Ultrabook. Furthermore I was thinking of sending my laptop to my mother. It still totally works and has served me well ( even though I just critized the hell out of it – just watch it break down on me now for that..!)and is much more suitable for the basic uses that she would need it for. So it would definitely go to a good home!

I am sold on upgrading my tech!

My computer is very slow, cannot handle much, takes eternity to load. I do all the maintenance stuff, very few add ons to the browsers, delete all temp files, etc. No reason for it to be slow and yes I check all the time for viruses and have great protection on it. So why does it make my life hell eternally waiting for a page to load? Time to go.. time to take on the Asus Taichi!

I’ve decided it’s time to let my trusty old laptop go after five years because the screen has come apart from the keyboard and I’m in danger of having a very large iPad with no touchscreen technology!

My old computer is not portable… Well, I suppose it is if you could get wheels for the table it is on! Having a MASSIVE base unit and a monitor as heavy as a tonne of bricks, I think it’s time I got with the century and got a modern computer that I can use without being plugged in and that I could lift in one hand!

My current laptop has to go. Whilst it’s only a year old and pretty decently specc’d, the build construction is poor and it may as well be made of tissue paper. If I lift it using one hand, it’s prone to crashing because the case flexes and no doubt pushes against the motherboard or some other vital organ. I’m guessing it’s only a matter of time before something flexes beyond its limits. If I lean my wrists on the areas alongside the mouse pad, then the cursor is prone to random jumps around the screen which makes typing a long document very difficult. You have to check it at the end of every line to see if it’s started typing at a random point in the document.

I’m convinced to let my old laptop go as it is so slow…I can easily make a cup of tea and be sipping away even before it has finished booting up. To have something that is energy efficient and is quick to start up would be a dream!

Seeing the Asus TAICHI Ultrabook and its sleek look has convinced me its finally time to let my old computer go, also the fact of the faster working and downloading speed along with better battery life in comparison to my slow outdated computer. Old with the old and in with the new!

I feel like I need to get rid off my old laptop because I’ve had it for 4 years now when my parents got it for my school work.. It has a dated intel Dual core, and 512mb of ram, I work in PC World and see people buying brand new top of the line laptops everyday and I dont have the money to buy one myself, I am dying on the inside every time someone gets a gorgeous laptop like this and I feel like I deserve it to be my time! So please littlewoods! Thankyou!

My computer is so slow, that it takes
my son ages to research and do his homework on there . He is now keeping on for us to get a new one however finances dosent allow that at the moment. So to win this would be a godsend and no more battles for him to do his homework.

Having seen the new Asus Taichi it is definitely time to move forward from the dark, slow era of my PC to an exciting new dimension, which offers lots of creative potential.

  19. Posted by christopher rossiter on May 31, 2013

my trusty old computer just can’t cope any more – it creaks and groans into life and just cant handle things like it used to! Its done very well but now its time to move on and an Ultrabook would be brilliant.

I think my laptop should go because I have had now for about 3 years and it is starting to get slow and I hope to go university this year and I think a new laptop will benefit me alot by having something that is quick and light carry aroud campus as the laptop I have is quite heavy.

  24. Posted by Michael Garlick on May 31, 2013

I’ve never owned a laptop to let one go, so I think it’s time to get connected with a great bit of kit.
