The AW13 Trends You Need Now

We haven’t even embraced summer yet but the best thing about bearing witness to the autumn/winter 2013-14 collections at this time of year is that you know exactly what to expect. London Fashion Week was home to a myriad of wintry trends that you can actually buy now and love in the lead-up to next season. Take a look at some of our favourite trends along with pieces from our Size 16 Plus range ‘So Fabulous’…

AW13 Trends To Buy Now: Size 16 Plus

Stripes: We loved the horizontal stripes from the Vivienne Westwood Red Label collection making the So Fabulous Gathered Maxi Skirt a great buy. Along with its flattering fit and cut, grey is a big colour next season as well.

Nineties Nostalgia: So far it seems that the biggest decade to take to the runways is the 90s. Crop tops are at the forefront of this movement – as seen at Topshop Unique – so how about the So Fabulous Safety Pin Stud Shoulder Top? Slightly cropped in the length and sleeves, this top is a great addition to your wardrobe.

Winter Brights: There’s nothing like a splash of colour to liven up the weather outside. Brights were seen at Paul Smith and our So Fabulous Lace Sweetheart Skater Dress fits into the mix perfectly with its bold fuchsia colour.

Monochrome: A massive trend already, monochrome is set to stay well into next year. Opt for the So Fabulous Pleat Front Tunic for a flattering black and white look.

Animal Print: Our animalistic nature always seems to come out to play in winter and we love this So Fabulous Snakeskin Printed Dress. For another take on the trend, how about the So Fabulous Peplum Wet Look Top? Encompassing a stylish leather look with a subtle snakeskin finish, this is a surefire winner.

Embellishment: Christopher Kane, John Rocha, Louise Gray, Julien Macdonald… these are just a handful of the designers who chose to embellish for autumn/winter 2013-14. The latter made us of sequins, as usual, making the So Fabulous Ombre Sequin Tunic a wise buy.
