Bake Your Heart Out

Bake Your Heart Out

The Great Comic Relief Bake Off may be over but it doesn’t mean the baking fun has to stop. We’re encouraging you to have a Red Nose Day bake sale to raise money for the worthwhile charity. Not only will you be helping an important cause but – let’s face it – it really is so much fun. If you’re far from the experienced chef or just fancy an update in the kitchen, you should take a look at our homeware products that’ll help in the baking process…

The Great Comic Relief Bake Off

Let’s start with the basics. We’ve got the Swan 19-piece Kitchen Tool and Knife Set – some of the features include a whisk, a pair of scissors and even a nifty timer on the side. Along with your preparation tools you’ll need something like the Swan Lotus 6-piece Bakeware Set; a range of non-stick baking trays, which includes a vital cake tin.

Other items that’ll certainly come in handy include weighing scales. We love the Simplicity Retro Kitchen Scales because they come in a variety of colours without detracting from quality. There’s also the Mason Cash Mason Cash Cane Mixing Bowl, which is a really lovely and classic-looking design that’ll be a great addition to your kitchen.

One of the most important things to remember when it comes to baking – if you weren’t already aware – is keeping your finished results fresh for days to come. Maybe your cakes are so insanely good that they’re gobbled up straight away but if not, there’s always the Sweet Home 2-piece Cake Tin Set. It’s a set of two tins which both boast a really sweet, kitsch design. Alternatively, opt for something with a vintage appeal like the Typhoon Vintage Cake Tin.

And cooking wouldn’t be half as fun if we didn’t look the part. Deck yourself out in a fun apron with the Keep Calm And Carry On 3-piece Kitchen Textile Set, which also comes with a tea towel and a pair of oven gloves. With the slogan ‘Keep Calm And Carry On’ plastered across everything, there are sure to be no kitchen disasters.

One thing’s for sure – it can’t be any worse than Paralympian Ellie Simmonds trying to put cream into her éclairs  Watch it now if you haven’t already.
