Craft corner: Half term with the kids

Craft corner: Half term with the kids

Spend some quality time with your kids during half term next week and make ‘Craft Corner’ a daily activity. Not only will they find it super fun but, let’s face it, they’ll be occupied; always an added bonus. And though you may try to deny it, the idea of getting messy with arts and crafts is releasing the inner child in you too.

Half-Term Crafts With The Kids

Let’s start with Crayola. A brand that’s been going for over 100 years, the team at Crayola know exactly what they’re doing. When it comes to colouring in, there’s plenty to choose from. There’s the Crayola Gigantic Colouring Book (which features 130 pages of animal, people, transport and scenery images) and more advanced sets like the Crayola Colour Wonder Light Up Markers; a mess-free set that magically lights up each pen with a light wand. The Crayola 16 Glitter Crayons are great for girls who like to add a splash of glamour to their art work too.

Speaking of girls, Crayola also make ‘Creations’ which is a great range of fun DIY projects. Help them make charms for their school bag with Crayola Sparkly Charms or opt for the Crayola Make Your Own Party Lights which would look great at their birthday party or in their room all year round. They also make ‘Beginnings’ for little’uns – the Beginnings Washable Finger Paints are worry-free (it washes off skin and clothing easily) and are ultra fun.

Other great products for fun arts and crafts includes the Disney Minnie Mouse Colouring Table, which boasts everything you need and is suitable for children over the age of 3. There’s also the amazing Inkoos Bear; you can draw, design and decorate them into anything you please. And once your Inkoos is completely covered? You can wash him/her and start all over again!

For non-colouring buys, there’s the Monster High 3D Nail Art Design Set. If your daughter is constantly walking around in your high heels and experimenting (quite terribly) with your red lipstick then this is the perfect choice for her. Or how about the John Adams Chocolate Lolly Maker? Perfect for budding chefs or, quite frankly, all chocolate lovers.
