Rose gold jewellery – summer’s hottest trend!

Rose gold jewellery – summer’s hottest trend!

Jewellery, just like fashion, has its trends – remember a few years back when big, chunky acrylic jewellery was all the rage? This summer and continuing into Autumn Winter 2012, rose gold is the only colour jewellery you will want to be seen in.

This gorgeous shade is a feminine, slightly less brash version of classic gold, and its warm undertones mean that it suits lots of skin colours, as well as adding a subtle glow of warmth (especially if you wear a rose gold necklace or earrings). We’ve got some beautiful rose gold pieces here on Littlewoods: here’s our pick of the best.

The Michael Kors rose gold watch has been a big hit with fashion bloggers across the globe, but for a more affordable version, the Fossil Rose Gold Bracelet Ladies Watch is perfect – and it comes with an added bit of sparkle too. Or try the Fossil Rose, Gold and Crystal Watch in a slightly deeper shade of rose gold. Both of these are great, everyday watches that look equally as good worn on a night out thanks to the unique colour.

For something a bit more subtle, a delicate ring or necklace is the perfect way to wear rose gold. We love the pretty 9 Carat Rose Gold 4pt Fancy Knot Ring for understated glamour, while the Rose Gold Plated Silver and Cubic Zirconia Initial Pendant is a modern, cute way to add this contemporary colour into your wardrobe. The Guess Rope and Chain Pull Cord Bracelet – Rose Gold and Pink Cord is a great, casual piece; wear stacked up with other bracelets in chain and cord to add a little extra touch to an everyday jeans-and-shirt outfit.

Rose gold isn’t just a cute colour for jewellery, either – pink can be a fabulously flattering colour as long as you choose the right tone. If you have pink-toned skin, then go for a ‘cool’ pink with a bit of blue underneath, like this pretty Coleen Ruffle Shift Dress, which will balance out any rosiness in your cheeks. Dark and olive-toned skins should opt for a colour that will enhance their skin tone; the TFNC Chiffon Dress in the prettiest of pale pinks is beautiful for summer. For paler skins or those with a touch of blue or yellow underneath, then the Awear Frill Front Dress is a must-buy – the rich coral colour will brighten your skin tone and give you a healthy flush of colour.

What’s your favourite way to wear rose this summer – in rose gold jewellery or a stylish pink outfit?
