a smartphone will be able to do lots more in a few years you will be able to use it like a remote control as well has a phone to switch on your tv washing machine dryer kettle etc,
probably be able to use it for everything, there will be apps for everything so what ever you want to do you will be able to.from turning the tv on to communicating inflight with some one .
The smartphone will take over the world! It will be used for paying for everything, so no need for credit/debit cards. Will instantly be able to book concert tickets, travel details etc (including airport check in!). It will carry all your details including driving licence, passport etc. Just don’t lose it – yikes!
Oh goodness, I can’t even imagine what technology will be like in 5 years as it’s developing so fast! I reckon it will be able to remotely control almost everything … with high security. You can probably set your food to cook in time for you to get home, have it drive your car for you and I bet it will be super duper small and miraculously flip open into a huge screen when you want it!
I think my phone would keep me so organised and tell what accessories would look best with which oufits for a certain occasion
Using my smart phone in the future will involve holograms like R2D2 … or C3PO in starwars… with a hint of hand print recognition.. a splash of digital SLR camera… a pinch of tracking my ever move… and a use dollop of social networking to keep a smile on my face all day long!
Smartphone’s will control all aspects of our lives, from turning the lights on at home to doing the weekly shop for us. Can’t wait!
I think in 5 years we will all use them for daily life, banking ,internet ,shopping ,and we will have no need for laptops as the phone will do it all xxx
I think it will be programmed to drive our cars!
Shopping – scan with your phone pay with your phone – use them more and more for data rather than calls and txts. Hope the networks can cope!
To pay with things in shops if will be links to my bank account
It will be like The Matrix – the smartphones will be controlling us!!
Smartphones of the future will be amazing. They will be ultra thin and weigh very little. Batteries will be the size of a small computer chip and able to last for a few days without charge. I imagine smartphones of the future being used for almost everything, from paying for shopping in a supermarket by scanning a receipt number to being used for conferences on a large scale. It will be able to control your tv remotely by voice and show you what you would look like in the latest fashion by simply taking a photo of the clothes.
The smartphone industry is about to explode and the technology we will see will be anything beyond our imagination.
I think you’d use Smartphones as forms of tickets so for buses, trains and planes you’d just show your phone! Also used to pay for things rather than cards or cash.
brilent phone
I think the smartphone of the future will link up with everything else in the house. Maybe you’ll get a text from the fridge to remind you to buy milk, or you can send an instruction to the oven to heat up. That would be brilliant.
Doing work on them instead of going to an office.ordering and tracking parcels and taxis. Checking in on planes- the possibilities are limitless!
In 5 years time a smartphone will be fully integrated into our lives, it will connect to your fridge and oven so you can check whats in the fridge for dinner and turn the oven on remotely. TV on demand will be king as smartphone technology will have compressed data so it becomes very cheap for people to watch on smartphones.
Augmented reality will provide everything from seeing if a new tv will go in your lounge to guiding you on a tour of major cities, either when you are there, pointing out landmarks and interesting facts or even from the comfort of your bed, itchy feet will never be itchy for long!
The NHS will also provide Dr’s on live video chats, thus reducing the cost of running dr’s surgeries, especially for routine medicine reviews or general health checkups.
Obviously cashless payments will be the way most transactions are made, using nfc to automatically add purchases to your mobile bill.
In 5 years time we’ll have a whole new generation of smartphones with more and more technologically advanced users.
I picture my smartphone being my multi-tool, it’ll have functions for everything from household chores to healthcare. and it’ll have significantly more memory than my current one xD
i think smart phones will be more intelegent and be able to book holidays order shopping and buy clothes on littlewood site just by talking to it and telling it what you would like!
in 5 years time I imagine my smart phone will still be the comfort thing in my pocket….just as it is today but better
Got a feeling they will be a virtual wallet, where you will swipe it across readers for paying for everything from tickets to groceries.
I think in 5 years time phones will be more like tiny computors and voice controlled because so we don’t have to go searching round in our handbags or houses if we lose them xxxx
I imagine my smart phone will dial into my house when I’m on my way home, ensure I have hot water & the house is a nice temperature. It will also know everything I have in my cupboards & fridge with the capacity to suggest meals and order food as required
dont forget will still make phone calls first
in five years time we would most probably be using our smartphones to use the oven, turn on heating, turn on our lights or to start running a bath/shower for when we get home from work.
I think a smartphone in the future will be able to do anything we want it to, we will be able to do anything we want on it, they will completely replace computers, and we will also be able to have virtual wardrobes, change tv, play better games, more social networking and keeping in touch x
I feel in 5 years time smart phones will be even more a must have, being able to instruct appliances in the home to turn on when on way home from work so dinner is ready when your home!!!! What a luxury that would be for us women!
well in 5 years i hope to have learnt how to use a smartphone, this one would be a good one to learn with wink wink
Smart phones will be so advanced they will be no need for anyone to leave their homes at all, most high street shops will be gone along with banks and most gp surgeries as a diagnosis will be given over the phone. Sad world.
In 5 years Time i Epect My Smartphone to Be more intellegant Than Before. It Will Have Voice Control To Turn On/off lights,tv,s ,cookers etc . They Will be More Bling And Fashionable. They Will have security Features That When Its Been Stolen You can Track Where The Theif is with your phone also have voice opening control so they cannot reach your personal files. It Will store photos ,videos and music and automatically put them into an account in which has a backup programme.
i think one could do most things on them as well as phone, take pics/videos, could however be used to track people like oyster travelcards rather worrying feature of new technology
in 5 years time i think that u will be able to do almost anything from kids doing there homework on them, be abke them to tell them what to write abd whatever u say to it it would do like draw say an apple or anything so u wouldbt even need to touch ur screen at all just talk to it, they will have that much memory an speed that noone will have laptops just smartphones, u will able to do nearly everything with ur phone
Smart phones of the future well, a smart phone of the future will be able to control most of your everyday items from house appliances to yours cars it would control what you switch on and off and maybe even run your bath at the temperature you want it.
I can imagine using a smart phone to be able to unlock my front door, whilst im at work to let delivery men deliver my parcels so that i dont have to find some time to pick it up from the post office AND maybe to set my phone to trigger off watering my garden for me too
)
I think in 5 years time we will be able to do virtually everything with our smart phones, evn house work and walking the dog…if only
In The future a smart phone will only do what it is told to do. Technology will never be able to predict what will happen. My Arc s is great and does everything I want it to do. Best phone I have ever had and can only get better.
in 5 yrs my smart phone will do everything a women duz ,i wish,,it will do all ordering of stuff, mailing, billing and a remote for electricals x
I imagine in 5 years i will be using my mind to control my smartphone. It will have the ability to read brain impulses from some type of headgear and send instructions directly to your phone.
In 5 years time my smartphone will not only replace debit cards and credit cards……you’ll scan your phone and enter a PIN to pay for items….it’ll restock your fridge and kitchen cupboards and also give you keyless entry to your car….How wonderful…my handbag could be tiny. lol. x
In 5 years time I imagine sending a message from my I phone to my kettle to switch it on,I think it’ll run my bath and possibly be able to document every aspect of my life without me even havin to touch the screen!
In 5 years time, the smartphone will have replaced the credit card and it will be possible to purchase goods with a simply swipe or touch of your phone close to the payment point.
Batteries will finally move forward and there will never be a need to plug the phone in to recharge. As long as it is within range of a charging station, it will charge over-the-air and will last over a week on one charge even under heavy use.
I expect smartphone use in the next 5 years will be to control much more of our daily lives. such as instead of carrying coins, We will be using smartphones, For example going into resturant and paying using our smart phone. I think phones will have much more virtual reality such as designing rooms, hairstyles, gardens. It will control pretty much our lives.
Smartphones in 5 years time will be integrated into everyday life. I believe they will be able to turn on items in your house by setting alarm functions for them. There will be a app for doing your laundry while at work (you still have to load the machine beforehand though sorry) the coffee maker/kettle will start to boil at the first ring of your morning alarm. Tv set to go on as and when you want at the click of a button. Useful if on holiday and you rely on timer switches. House phones will become a thing of the past.
In 5 years time I think smart phones will be able to teleport you to where ever you want to go removing the need for any other form of transport and saving the cost of running a car catching a bus/train/plane.You will also be able to teleport goods to any destination.
I imagine being able to use my mobile as a credit/debit card being able to turn aircon or heating on in house and car when needed and the oven on when on the way home and the kettle a few minutes before arrive. As a projector that gave full 3d video calling would be great as well
I expect smartphones will be used more to pay for items while out and about, being able to transmit details to the machine taking payment in the immediate vicinity in a similar way to some cards being used now. There will probably be some experimenting with driving vehicles using a smartphone. I look forward to better gaming using smartphones, and much improved hardware so I can do even more of the same things as on the laptop/desktop, but in miniature!
You will be able to walk into any clothes shop or restaurant and be able to simply tap your phone against the till to pay and walk out. And you will be able to simply board a plane with one swift tap and no more standing in long check in line. X
in 5 yrs time WE will be controlling our smartphones and the use of ibm we could be controlling our smartphones using our mind
lol
I use a smartphone for my job, i work in IT and i see the massive changes they have had in such a short time so i think really the limits are the imagination f the inventors!!I cant imagine what they will have i five years but i cannot wait to see
