The Style Factory Showcase

The Style Factory Showcase

We’re looking forward to a fashion extravaganza next Thursday in Littlewoods HQ’s hometown of Liverpool. We’ve been the proud sponsors of The Style Factory over the past 6 months, and on Thursday 2nd February we will get to see the final outcome of months of hard work from some very talented local youngsters with a passion for fashion.

The Style Factory was set up two years ago with support from the Princes Trust with the aim of educating young people from the Liverpool area about fashion and the many job roles that make up the industry that they could potentially develop a career in. Workshops enabled 13-18 year olds to try out the range of jobs involved in fashion, and in four groups the youngsters worked their way through the whole process of setting up a fashion label, from fashion design, pattern making and garment construction to marketing, PR and visual merchandising.

And we’ll get to see the results of the groups’ hard work as they compete on the catwalk on Thursday night in front of a full audience and a panel of judges. There’s some amazing prizes to be awarded on the night, and the winners will be given the opportunity to direct their own photoshoot with a professional fashion photographer.

The event is being held at the Hilton Hotel and will be hosted by OK!TV’s fashion expert Nick Ede with entertainment from local musicians (including X Factor finalist James Michael). The night will raise money for the Princes Trust and alongside the stars of the show there will be catwalks from a range of other fashion brands, including us, Littlewoods.com!

If you’d like to join us for this fabulous fashion event, visit The Style Factory website to get your tickets, and to find out more about the brilliant work they do. You never know, we might see a future fashion star in the making!

When I was around 16 and going with my boyfriend(now my husband), our neighbour had a Littlewoods Catalogue. I ordered a Blue Motorcycle suit as my boyfriend had a motorbike. I also ordered a blue china teaset, which I still have and it has been across the ocean to USA until we returned back home in 1991 and I bought it back to Belfast. Congratulations on your 80th Littlewoods. Your the best. Regards Judy Fleming.
