With the weather all over the place at the moment, it’s hard to know what to dress the little ones in. You can be guaranteed that if they’re in a big, warm coat, the sun will start shining – and if they’re running around in sandals, it’ll start chucking it down! Here at Littlewoods the little ones are always at the front of our mind, and our Ladybird children’s range is perfect for providing them with cool, trendy clothing, whatever the weather! Despite the recent heatwave, we all know autumn means rain and wind – so here’s some of our top picks for kids’ waterproof (and weatherproof) clothing.
You never know when it’s going to get chilly at this time of year, so we love the Ladybird Hat and Mitt Set for a cute but practical set that’ll keep them toasty. With its distinctive ladybird spots and fun pom-pom details, this fleece-lined set is bound to be one of their favourites – plus we know it’ll keep them warm too! To go with this set, the Ladybird Rain Mac is an ideal choice for when they’re out and about. It has a cuddly fleece lining to keep them warm, while the waterproof outer layer and hood will keep them protected from rain and snow. The oversized ladybird print is cute too, and looks great with jeans or cargo trousers.
Rainy weather gear wouldn’t be complete without two essential items – an umbrella and some trendy wellies! The Ladybird Umbrella combines some of our favourite themes for children: cute characters, fun colours, and of course, practicality. This see through umbrella features cool, oversized spots and a cute Ladybird face for a fun way to keep dry whatever the weather. The red handle and other details really set this off, making it a good addition to any child’s wardrobe. And hopefully it’s so fun they’ll remember to use it too!
We’re finishing up with two pairs of wellies that we know the little ones will love. The Ladybird Felix Wellington Boots are great for matching to the Ladybird Rain Mac, with the same funky oversized spot print. The thick tread means they’re great for clambering about without being slippery, while the drawstring boot cover ensures their socks won’t get soggy. Or how about the Ladybird Jasper Wellington Boots? A little bit different from the rest, these boots feature a cool ‘trompe l’oeil’ effect that makes them look like lace up boots! In blue, white and red, these wellies have a hint of nautical about them, as well as the same hard-wearing tread as the Felix Boots. Rainwear is essential – but that doesn’t mean it has to be boring!
