Top 10 Christmas Toys for Kids 2010

With Christmas just a few weeks away, the panic is starting to set in and parents, and relatives who have young children to buy for, are asking the age old question “What should I buy??”

Well, luckily the Toy Retailers Association have released their Top 10 Christmas Toys list, so you have a starting point to work from and can make sure you get something that all the kids are hoping to find under the tree on Christmas morning!

Here’s 10 of the best from the official list:

Pumpaloons

I hear the cries of parents everywhere saying “pump-a-what?”Well, this innovative new game challenges kids to blow up their ‘pumpaloon’ as quickly as possible, in a race to be the winner; the first pumpaloon to sound its whistle, wins!

Lego City Airport

Lego is always a popular choice at Christmas, and you can keep your little lads and lasses busy while you’re busy cooking Christmas dinner with this year’s hot lego set: The City Airport, which includes everything from an X-Ray machine, flight personnel and of course, the all essential plane.

Fireman Sam, Deluxe Fire Station Playset

Fur Real, Go Walking Pup

Have you been accosted by cries of “can we get a dog?”, “why can’t we get a puppy for Christmas?” or “but mum/dad, pleeeeease” then you may be able to quiet the little ones for a while with this Go Go Walking Pup. Much cheaper and cleaner than a real dog, you can still take the dog for a walk on Christmas day with its remote control lead.

Jet Pack Buzz Lightyear

This fantastic video camera has face tracking technology and will also let them add moving animations to the finished movies. Sylvanian Families are another old favourite that is becoming increasingly popular once again; this Motorycyle and Sidecar playset, complete with Grandparent Raccoons, is a great fun choice for Christmas and if cute and fuzzy are high on the agenda for your child, be sure to check out the new meerkat additions to the Sylvanian Family too.

Nice site here. Clean-cut and very professional. Anyway, I agree these are toys that any kid would want for Christmas but I hope that parents would buy toys that have educational value for their kids which is the case for most of the toys found here. For example the Lego airport would provide a challenge to the engineering skills of the kids. We all know that giving your kids an activity that is mentally challenging for them is good. I would suggest parents should buy something like
matchbox rocky because this would also reinforce their love for engineering by giving kids the chance to play as a road and bridge builder by playing with rocky the robot truck. Thanks and have a nice day ahead!
