With Christmas fast approaching no doubt the invites are flooding in – Christmas parties, friendly gatherings and family get togethers all requiring you to dress up a little bit. For adults it’s not too bad – dig out that LBD and glam it up with a perfect pair of heels or some fun accessories, but at the rate that kids grow, it can be hard to find anything from last year that will a) fit them and b) be party appropriate.
For little ones who haven’t found their own fashion feet yet, this red velour dress with a soft, matching headband will have them looking nice and Christmassy without much effort on your part!
For younger Christmas princesses try out this fairy skirt ensemble with a tiered candy pink skirt that will look adorable with a headband (if you can convince them to keep it on for longer than 5 minutes!). Disney Princess fans will also love this Princess Party Set with a pink princess dress and soft fur shrug and matching bag – they will truly be the belle of the ball with this outfit! For those that aren’t fans of pink, check out this Ladybird tiered dress in a lovely plum velour.
Older girls will always be harder to please with cries of ‘mum, I don’t like it’ but for teens you can keep it cute and casual with a funky Yumi dress that they can team with leggings and boots, or ballet pumps. I like this grey dress with sequin bow details that is easy to wear and they can accessorise it themselves to add a personal twist. For something with a little more glitz, this Freespirit sequin dress should do the trick.
For older teens, it’s worth checking out the women’s clothing section to see what they have on offer and getting a smaller size. There are loads of fun prom dress styles that may be suitable, or check out Pixie Lott’s new collection for Littlewoods which has lots of fun, flirty dresses on offer too.
