Nude has been a hot colour on and off the catwalks over the past few months and it doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere fast. In fact nudes are set to be revamped for the Autumn/Winter season.
Our style ambassador Coleen Rooney has rightly pointed out that nudes this season come with a bit of a twist and Autumn/Winter 2010 will be all about embellishments and luxurious, elegant fabrics as well as some fantastic neutral accessories.
Nude shoes are going to be a big hit and the great thing is that they go with absolutely everything! If embellishments are your thing then you are going to be spoiled for choice with materials like lace and satin coupled with material bows, flowers, ruffles and jewels.
Lace is a prominent footwear theme and if you’re looking for a great pair of heels for the Christmas party then you could do much worse than this Love Label pair which have a platform base for elongating your legs and giving you a little boost. If you want to mix up embellishments and lace then this cute KG pair with bow detail could be your perfect party shoes. This champagne satin pair are also fantastic for a glam night out or a Christmas party.
Aside from shoes though what else is on offer? Cute neutral dresses are also a great choice for Autumn and although there are party styles like this adorable ruffle neck dress from Lipsy, there are also some more casual everyday options like this cute knitted dress (again with lace detailing!) or go for a vintage inspired outfit with tops with crochet or lace details. There’s been a trend for lace backs on tops and tees, such as this plain lace detail tee, which is great for an added hint of sexiness and perfect if you’re going straight from work to meet the girls for cocktails.
As for accessories, metallics are great for setting off nude colours and keep it from appearing too boring. Extra details like mirrored panels, contrasting metallic earrings and chunky pendants are all good choices for accessorising with your ‘nude’ wardrobe. I don’t know if anyone else has noticed the emerging trend for owl prints, but they seem to be everywhere at the moment, so if you’re looking to kill two stylish birds with one accessory shaped stone take a look at this owl pendant necklace for a quirky twist.
